Ken received a report that a house on Stonewall has a yard overgrown with weeds. Ken has reported it to
the city.
Newswatch – Eldon corrected an error in the database where a house was not receiving the Newswatch in the mail. Anyone not receiving the Newswatch should let Eldon know. Deadline for articles for the next issue is 6/22.
Beauti cation Report – Due to unforeseen circumstances, there were two “YARD OF THE MONTH” winners for July in Shenandoah Estates. They are 5014 Antioch and 5160 Antioch. They will each receive a $25 gift certi cate from Cleggs Nursery. Congratulations! Residents are reminded that they can nominate yards for “Yard of the Month” on the website.
Public Works Report – Ray Domingue – Ray reported that the Jones Creek construction project is not completed on schedule. The company representative he spoke to said they only need two days of dry weather to stripe the road and open it. They will complete the sidewalks after the road is open. The O’Neal Lane project is also delayed by the rain.
Metro 9 Report – Henry spoke to Dwight Hudson about the Metro 9 Committee meeting. There are several new developments in our area which will result in a lot of construction going on.
Website Report – Ed Craig reported that the activity on the websites has been steadily increasing in recent months. From a previous high of 1600 individuals looking at the website after the  ood in November, there were over 2000 for May, with June also looking to exceed 2000. Ed also reported that he is upgrading the website to be “responsive” to the size of the device people are using to view it. Ed will put a message on the website for people to contact a board member if they are not receiving mailed copies of the Newswatch. Ed asked residents to let him know if there’s anything anyone wants to see on the website.
