I first met Carmen when she was sitting under a tree where I had been having my lunch. I was just finished and since cats don’t usually worry me, I called down to her to introduce myself. Carmen jumped straight up in the air and turned a circle. I thought she was just showing off but then I could tell she was really scared. So I spoke softly to her and tried to calm her down.
Finally Carmen asked, “Who are you and how can you talk Cat”? I told her my name, and that I happen to be very good with languages and had known how to speak cat for quite some time. I hopped down to the ground and approached her very slowly. I said, “I am sorry that I scared you.” Carmen replied, “That’s alright, everyone and everything scares me.“
Well, I knew I needed to learn more and hoped that maybe I could help Carmen. I asked her, “What do you think makes you so afraid”. She replied, “I’m a Scaredy Cat and all Scaredy Cats are afraid of everything.”
