had given birth to 3 more children between 1900 and 1910 and one had died). In total, Samuel and Mary had 9 children, 3 of which either died at birth or shortly thereafter. It is believed that Mary died around 1922. She and Samuel are alive in the 1920 census, living in Utica, Prather, Indiana with 3 of their children. In the 1920 census, Samuel is listed as a Widower and he is living in Jeffersonville with his son, Andrew Jackson, his wife and family. Nothing more can be found after the 1930 census.
Charles Elmer (Charlie) Craig -- Charlie married Virgie Nanna Jackson on February 10, 1897. He was 25 years old and she was 12-1/2. She turned 13 in August and gave birth to their first child in December 1897. In the 1910 census they had been married for 13 years and at age 26, had given birth to 7 children with 5 living. After the 1910 census, Virgie gave birth to 5 more children including a set of twins. The twins, a boy and a girl, were born December 31, 1918 and Virgie died 6 days later January 6, 1919. She was 33 years old. Cause of death was Paraphrenitis (inflammation of the adrenal gland and kidney tissue). When the 1920 Census was taken in February 1920, Charles was 47 years old, living in Utica with 10 of their children, ages of 22 the oldest to 1 year (the youngest/twins). In 1930, Charles was living in a boarding house in Louisville with his youngest son (a twin), Clifford and working as a factory fireman. Charlie died at age 65. I could verify that 6 of his 10 children, including the male twin, all lived long lives and remained in the Charlestown/Sellersburg/Jeffersonville areas.
