Mike Girir presented a monthly financial report and it was
approved by the Board of Directors.
Security Report – Tom Hirschey – Tom reported the next meeting of the SECPID will be held on May 15 at 6:30 at the Jones Creek Library. The patrol hours are being maintained at 182 hours with 6 hours of administrative time for a total of 188 hours at the cost of $6,100 a month. There are seven marked units and one unmarked unit patrolling.
Tom reported the ongoing effort to improve the school zone signs and flashing warnings. One idea is to add “Radar Drive Feedback” units to some of the current school zone signs. This effort is under consideration at this time.
Tom is continuing to pursue the approval of the SECPID to purchase a radar gun which would be used by the deputies patrolling the Shenandoah Estates. Dealing with the Parish Government Departments has proven to be a difficult task, but efforts are ongoing to make it happen.
