But the woman who was the spokesperson for those wishing to return the Glasses said to the King, “Sire, it is too hard to learn the new way. Even those of us who do understand, find it hard work to continue this new way of thinking. The old way was much easier and we wish to go back to it. We would have to change too much in our lives.”
Many of them gave back the Glasses and continued to see everything in black and white. It made them comfortable. They continued to make bad choices and do what others told them to do because they were their “friends.” Just as before the Glasses, it got them in trouble.
In your world, you must be willing to work hard to see life as it really is and not as you want it to be. You don’t have Glasses like in the story to help you. You will have to try to deal with life effectively without such magical help. You will have to learn how not to let your Stinky Thinking cause you to see everything as black and white.
Use your Good Thinking to evaluate people, situations and things. “Just because this food tasted terrible the last time I tried it does not mean it will be terrible this time. I will take a small taste and if it is bad, I won’t take any more but if it is good, I will take some more. He was not friendly to me yesterday but he may have been having a bad day."
