Secretary’s Report - Motion made and passed to accept the minutes of the last meeting as printed in the last issue of Newswatch.
Membership Report – Mike G. – Mike reported that 36 homeowners paid their dues in April, bringing the total paid members to 307 YTD. There were 540 paid members at this time in 2017. President will send a letter reminding homeowners to renew their membership and pay their dues. The Shenandoah Homeowners Association dues will remain at $30 per year for 2018. Please send in your dues, or you can pay them via PayPal on the website. (shawebwatch.com).
Security Report – Tom Hirschey – The April patrol stats will be printed in the Newswatch. Tom reported that we are adding a motorcycle to our patrol unit. Also, we will know soon whether we will be able to get a radar unit for the exclusive use of our patrol deputies. A call was made to the painting company that left flyers on many front doors to remind them of the “No Solicitation” ordinance enforced in Shenandoah. Tom again reminded everyone to lock their cars to reduce the risk of theft. He also reminded everyone that the National Day Out Against Crime will be held at St. Andrews Methodist Church on October 27.
The next SECPID meeting will be held May 15, 2018 at 6:30 at the Jones Creek Library. Tom reported that there are 27 Crime Prevention Districts in EBRP. Our SECPID is generating a lot of interest in other neighborhoods.
