When I had the cars loaded and ready to leave, my wife said, “whatever the Elvis car brings, sell it.” To this day I don’t understand why she disliked that car so much. When it came up for auction the auctioneer was at $30,000. So I called my wife and she said sell it. But then it went on to over $100,000. When I told her the phone went silent. To this day, she has never mentioned that car. It’s pretty hard to argue when two cars are bringing six figures. Selling cars for that kind of money, what do you do? Buy more cars! The Lincoln now resides in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
