Been There... Done That!
I don’t know what exactly happened, but the Craig Brothers were offered a job in Santa Maria, California and things were starting to get a little sketchy up on Sunset, specifically around Pandora’s Box. The city passed a curfew of 10:00 pm on the street and even though Pandora’s Box didn’t serve liquor, it was prevalent inside and on the street. After the Craigs left, all hell broke loose on Sunset with young people claiming the curfew was a violation of their civil rights and the riots began. Jack Nicholson and Peter Fonda were arrested during the violence. The city closed Pandora’s and later demolished it.
