Page 9 - SB-Collard Green Garden

With that, the young girl went back into the house and cooked up another mess of collard greens. Just for a little change, she decided to make collard green soup for supper.
The next morning she got up and “chipped” some collard greens so she could have “collard flakes” for breakfast. She had a collard sandwich and collard cool aid for lunch and a big collard steak for supper.
As you might imagine, it did not take too many days of collard burgers and collard fries to motivate the young girl to say to herself, “I don’t care what that rabbit says, I’m going to make a garden.”
With determination, she went into the fenced garden and stood under the big tree and again began planning her future garden.
I figured that she would get tired of that foolishness and go back to her original plan of planting good stuff in the garden. But you know what?
Even Cosmos Crow can be wrong.
The Young Girl stood in her garden with her hands on her hips and said very loudly, “I will have potatoes, rows and rows of potatoes and pumpkins and grapes. I’ll plant carrots here and onions there and tall yellow corn.” She could hardly contain her excitement.
