Page 16 - SB-Newton and the Needy Newts

My story was mostly about Newton and the other newts and how they were so needy. But I want to spend a little time talking about the other characters in the story, the frogs. I am sure you noticed that they acted differently than the newts. You may have figured out that I am very impressed with the frogs, not only for the things they could do but how they dealt with life and its problems.
I did not have much understanding about these little creatures until I started observing them. As you will recall from the story, my over all impression was that the frogs, “Seem to be fairly satisfied with themselves.”
That is not to say that they were, “stuck up” or snobs. They just seemed to take every situation just as it was without making themselves angry, sad or upset for no good reason.
In fact, I am be willing to bet that you would prefer being around other humans who acted like the frogs. People who would praise you when you do something well (like make an “A”) and are supportive when things don’t go so well (like you don’t make
the team).
