“You see,” I said to Paul’s mother, “most youngsters have a lot of Stinky Thinking like, “I want what I want when
I want it” and “Everything should be fun’’ and “No one should make demands of me.”
Youngsters have to be taught Good Thinking and then they have to practice it. Even if he was taught Good Thinking like, “I need to study now so I learn my lessons and I will play later,” if he does not practice it, soon it will be replaced with his Stinky Thinking. He will once again tell himself, “I should be able to play whenever I want and you are just being mean to me if you won’t let me play.”
Paul’s mother looked at me and said, “That is exactly how it happens and that is exactly what Paul would say. How did you know that Cosmos?”
“I have been watching human children and I have learned a lot about Stinky Thinking from them. Most of us wild animals can’t have much Stinky Thinking because bad things would happen to us.”
