It was getting pretty cold and I needed to fly south. But I thought that Paul’s mother had a good understanding of what most of us wild animals and a few humans know, “most of your problems in life are caused by your own Stinky Thinking.”
Paul’s mother told me that she was going to work with Paul to get him to change his Stinky Thinking, “I should be able to play whenever I want” to Good Thinking, “Right now I have to pay attention (or study) and learn my lessons. I will be able to play later.”
Paul’s mother also realized that it is okay for Paul to entertain the human visitors but that he needed to know when and how often to do it while he was still there at the zoo. But he also needed to understand that when he returns to the forest, he must avoid humans.
Paul’s mother said, “There is much that Paul needs to learn about taking control of his thinking.” I agreed with her and told her that with her help, he could do it. Then with a shiver and a smile, I flew south.
