President - Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Henry Grace.
Secretary’s Report – Motion made by Darryl and seconded by Ken to accept the minutes of the last monthly business meeting as published in the Newswatch. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report – Mike reported that receipts in November were $221.53, and expenses were $1,193.40. YTD receipts total $24,713.90, and YTD expenses total $22,658.34. Mike noted that the Lawn Care expenses exceeded budget this year because we have still had grass-cutting expenses late in the year due to the warm weather. We will increase the budget for this item for next year. Mike presented a budget proposal for 2020 with receipts of $35,789.50, based on a projection of 1000 paid members, and expenses of $26,275.00. Eileen moved, and Darryl seconded, to approve the budget as proposed. Motion passed unanimously.
Membership Report –Mike reported that 5 new members paid in November. All dues collected in December will be applied to 2020 membership. For 2019, we had a total of 804 paid members. In comparison, the 2018 total was 384. Mike also noted that 22% of the members paid more than $30. Mike reported that the Membership mailings went out in early December. As a result, we have 88 new members who have paid for 2020 as of 12/10. Mike appreciated Ed’s help in creating the mailer. Mike and JC will research some alternative ways for residents to be able to pay their dues to help improve participation levels. The barometer will continue to be on the front cover of the Newswatch. A suggestion was made for board members to personally invite residents to attend our board meetings. Also, a suggestion was made to create a Welcome packet and Newcomers Committee. JC and Darryl will work on this project. The Shenandoah Homeowners Association dues remain at $30 per year. Please send in your dues, or you can pay them via PayPal on the website. (shawebwatch.com).

Security Report – Tom had not received patrol stats yet, but they will be published in the Newswatch. He did report that we had 197 patrol hours in November, which includes the 15 additional hours
for the holiday season. December will have the same. Tom
