Children of Samuel and Melvina Craig
1) Colmore Allen Craig – Born May 31, 1857 died August – died February 11, 1949. My Great Grandfather. He was the oldest of 7 sons. His story is outlined separately.
2) William (Will) Craig – Born 1862, died of smallpox in March/April 1883 and was buried in mass grave 3) Samuel (Sam) Craig – Born 1866/1869 in Indiana. Died after 1930
4) George Washington (GW) Craig – Born 1869 in Kentucky, died of smallpox in March 1883 and was buried in mass grave
5) James L. (Jim) Craig – Born 1870, died of smallpox in March/April 1883 and was buried in mass grave
6) Charles Elmer (Charlie) Craig – Born May 1, 1871, died November 29, 1936 and is buried next to his wife Virgie in Union Cemetery in Charlestown, Indiana. Cause of Death was Pedema of Lung and Heart Disease. I remember my dad talking about his Uncle Charlie.
7) Oliver Craig – Born 1874, died of smallpox in March/April 1883 and was buried in mass grave 8) Child -- born March 28, 1883, at Watson station. See Newspaper article

Samuel Dodsworth Craig -- According to census reports dating back to 1860, Samuel was born in 1866/67. He married Mary Josephine Cannon on August 15, 1886. Throughout his adult life he was a Farm Laborer. Neither he nor Mary could read or write. In 1900 they lived in Jeffersonville with 4 of their children (2 had died). In 1910, they lived in in Jeffersonville with 5 of their 6 living children (Mary
