Finally, with a gleam in her eye, she said, Oh yes, I remember now. This is the remains of a Woolly Whiner. They used to be plentiful but have now disappeared from the wild.
We were all very impressed with Connie’s memory. I commented that apparently it looked like a small bear.
I asked, Did the Woolly Whiners behave like bears? Connie looked at all of us with a knowing glance.
