Page 23 - Injustice Collector
P. 23

For example, someone says your shoes are funny looking. You now have options:
A. Tell yourself that you like your shoes just fine and you don’t care what they say.
B. Tell yourself that you are tired of people making fun of you and you will make them shut up.
C. Tell yourself that you never can pick out nice looking stuff and these shoes are terrible.
With the non-injustice collector system “A”, you may be aggravated that someone is trying to manipulate you but you don’t allow yourself to get overly upset. You “burst” the injustice sphere.
With example “B”, your injustice collecting memories of other situations where you were ridiculed or your belief that “no one should make fun of me and if they do I have the right to jump all over them,” will generate intense anger and probably hostile behavior.
With example “C”, your injustice collecting memories of similar situations and your belief “I am stupid and always choose stupid stuff,” will generate anger toward yourself and embarrassment so that you probably will never wear the shoes again.
With both “B” and “C” you allow someone else to control how you feel and act because of your recollection of similar situations (injustice collecting). In example “A”, you choose to deal with the current situation without recalling any “injustices.” You are annoyed but in control and you feel and act appropriately.
