Mission of the College :

The College of Fine Arts supports the overall mission of the university to provide an opportunity for students to realise
their potential through high quality tertiary education that will enable them to contribute to the world of knowledge
and the development of society. The College is committed to the provision of specialist study and research in the
practice and theory of Fine Art at the cutting edge of developments in teaching learning and assessment in higher
education in Fine Art. Its mission is to promote education, academic enquiry and the advancement of knowledge, to
provide a supportive teaching and learning environment that will enable students to develop their intellectual and
creative potential and to make students aware of the professional opportunities and contexts that are available for Fine
Art practitioners. As the first College of Fine Arts in the United Arab Emirates, the college is mindful of its
responsibility to provide a curriculum that challenges students to become independent and innovative in their
thinking and their practice within the context of respect for Arab Islamic culture and tradition.
