Recount text is one type of text in
english that has a function to retell
events or experiences that occured
in the past. Or text that tells the
reader about one story, action or
activity.
1.Orientation
Tells who was involved, what happened, where the events
took place, and when it happened.

Tell what happened in the chronological sequence.
3. Re-orentation
Consist of optional closure of events or ending.
1. Using simple past tense sentences
Example : I spent my summer in Yogyakarta.
2. Using action verb
Languages Features Example : spent, went, brought, took, etc.

Example : last month, in Malang, lately, etc.
3. Using conjuction and time connectives
Example : and, or, after that, etc.
