             This course is open to Seniors who have completed Automotive Orientation. It offers classroom and laboratory
             instruction to begin preparation for entry into the field of automotive technology. Students are introduced to the
             fundamentals of safety practices, proper use of related test equipment, and meters. In addition to hands-on work -
             including brake theory and operation, and wheel alignment and theory - students will be required to use a
             textbook for reading and written work. Students should be able to follow multi-step directions and work both
             independently and in team situations. Successful completion of this course is the basis for the Kishwaukee College
             Basic and Advance Automotive Technology Certificates and Automotive Technology Associate Degree (A.A.S.)
             Program. Students must provide their own 3-ring binder, safety glasses/goggles, and writing materials and are
             required to wear proper shop attire and footwear. All Auto courses are taught by an ASE Master Certified Instructor.
             Students will be required to provide their own transportation as this class meets Monday-Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 AM.
