March 27 will be the Hopefest Event. The Chapter will have a booth to
assist with homeless Veterans in the Central Phoenix area.
Progress is being made as we negotiate for the new Chapter home. We will
soon be ready to present to National PVA for approval
We will be having our Southern Arizona Picnic at the Tucson VA. Please
look for the postcard with all the details in your mailbox. We need all the
RSVP’s to be able to ensure there is plenty of food and beverage for all.
Our hospital situation is unique. All three major VAMC’s have temporary
Directors making it tough to get changes made. Phoenix is our Clinic with
the most patients 280. We have a solid well trained and established staff.
About ¾’s of them are going to the Summit. Prescott has 156 SCI/D Clinic
users; a great Social Worker and a new PCP, who has gone out of her way
to learn all she can. We are working on getting her to the Summit. Tucson
has the smallest Clinic and we are hoping they find a permanent PCP and
redevelop a solid staff.
Medical equipment and supplies continue to flow in and many local groups
especially the Elks Clubs are all chipping in to help us collect, deliver and
get funds to keep the Chapter running smoothly and helping veterans and
family members.
Please be safe and Enjoy Spring
Peter Quinn, Executive Director
