Other suggestions made from the meeting attendees were;
Swimming

Talking to someone non-judgmental and supportive

Using helpful analogies like, Be a turtle and let things roll off your back, retreat into
your home if need be, take your time, and feel secure in your shell.
Get inspired by others
Exercise in any form
Being productive, accomplishing small or large projects
Turn to a family member or friend who you can share a love with and feel nurtured by
Artistic expression
Reading or reciting positive mantras
Taking care of your body's needs
Allow yourself to grieve and process your loss fully, so there are minimal reasons to go
back to the state of fight or flight or frozen and numb
Celebrate small accomplishments
Journal
Speak to a professional
Get a massage
Spend time in Nature
There are many modalities to find peace and calm throughout your day. It only takes a few
minutes and can be practiced as many times a day as needed. You can even start now.
And remember, you are not alone. Your support group is here for you, and many professionals
and hotlines can provide support services to help you regain a positive sense of yourself and
life.

October outing
