Executive Director’s Report
While going over the programs at the March BOD Meeting one of the
subjects that came up is membership. We have lost 50% of our members
and we have more over 70 years old than 34. Over 20 years of war and yet
we can’t seem to draw new members. Any ideas on how to improve this?
Hopefully you will all be at the NVWGs in Tempe, AZ this July. If you
haven’t signed up and want to participate; do it now. If you wish to
volunteer; do it now. I have been told all events will be indoors, so good-
bye to 100*+ heat. COVID is still around so be vaccinated or you won’t be
able to attend.
We are in the process of developing the large building on the property into
another program for local Veterans and open an area for BBQs, picnics
and other outdoor activities. Hopefully this will develop into a meeting spot
for our members.
The Chapter is building a new website. When it gets launched, we will be
looking for your thoughts. Do you follow us on FaceBook? Is there a better
medium that the Chapter should be using? Let us know your thoughts.
There is quite a lot going on with funding or lack of it for Veteran’s facilities.
You should be getting notification on were to sign up for a member zoom
meeting in the future. You earned this care, and you need to stay vigilant
about them saving money based on your volunteering to help this country;
whether you were in combat or not. Please take the time to find out what
WE need to do to keep your medical services better than ever.
Getting warm, stay safe
