Executive Director’s Report
Welcome to the New Year. The Chapter’s year started slow as we
managed to dole out the COVID slowly and equally to family and friends.
Winter is upon us and 60* nights are another chore of setting the time for 5
hours before the air is needed. My next vehicle I get the automatic heater!
We here in the Phoenix VAMC live in the land of magic. If you live just
South of the Phoenix VAMC area there is a National shortage of gloves.
About 30 miles South of the Phoenix hospital; gloves are back in stock. In
more amazing we all belong to the same VISN as Sam Diego. Simply, they
have permission and Phoenix is saving money shorting Veteran’s who are
entitled to Bowel & Bladder Care. Call your NSO (602) 627-3311 to answer
questions”
The Chapter is finally finishing up the systems to run the tri-plex and they
st
should be collecting rent by April 1 . We have opted to replace systems
such as sprinkler sprinklers then partial repairs and hope no major
controversies arrive in the future.
As you should know the National Veteran’s Wheelchair Games should be
here in July. So many different entities and perspectives getting together
for a potentially great time! We need to know who wants to compete ASAP.
Meeting are in zoom and if you are a member of or want to be a Chapter
member please call and we will do our best to get you to compete at the
games!
Be Safe!
