Subject: Opportunity to Provide Input on SCI Research Funding
Dear PVA Member,
PVA has been asked by United Spinal and the North American SCI Consortium, both SCI Consumer
advocacy organizations, to provide input from our members to help chart the future of funding for spinal
cord injury research in the next decade.
The National Institute of Health, which funds a great deal of the SCI research in the US, is holding a
conference in February, 'SCI 2020: Launching a Decade for Disruption in Spinal Cord Injury Research' to
set a research agenda for the next decade. The results of the survey linked below will be presented at the
conference. Your input will help provide guidance to both the NIH and the many SCI scientists in moving
forward into the next decade of SCI research.
This is a great opportunity for you to have an impact on SCI research funding priorities!
To access the survey, please use this link:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SCI2020
All surveys must be submitted by January 18, 2019.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and let your voice be heard on these important issues.
Thank you for your help. If you have any questions about the survey, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
Happy Holidays!
