P. 4

Well Happy New Year and I hope you all had great holidays. It was a nice rest
with the long time off and we appreciate it.

The Annual Reports are out and we managed to top last year’s $.96 with a new
high of $.97 of every dollar brought in used for programs other than
Administration and Fundraising. I’d like to thank all the donors, other Veteran’s
groups and non-profits who help gather or distribute over 1750 pieces of medical
equipment alone. Also included are the Arizona VA’s that stepped out of the box
to ensure Veterans got what they needed now and did not have to sit around
waiting for bureaucracy to enjoy their lives. The Chapter also appreciates their
reciprocation in getting us quality equipment to be distributed to the Arizona
            Disabled Community.

If you have something that is usable and you would like it to go to good use

please call the Chapter and we will do our best to find a Veteran in need.

We had a solid year in donations and are looking for a long term fundraiser that
will put money on the books each month. As so many non-profits use the same
techniques and we are not able to initiate some of the old favorites, the Chapter
will be seeking a business to support our programs and hopefully support our
            members with the same venture.

There is an outside chance of holding the National Veterans Wheelchair Games
here in Phoenix in either 2021 or 2022. We are looking for members who are
willing to start putting in the time now for a successful venture and of course the
opportunity to compete for free. Let us know what you think-SOON.

We are losing a long time advocate in Prescott. Allison Kitchens has opted to
retire and spend her time helping other people for the love of it. She has
weathered many a storm in Prescott for over a decade and will be missed by
many. In fact there are those who don’t even realize all she has done for them
and their families and that is a shame. Along with a new Social Worker we will be
getting a new Primary Provider up in the Prescott Clinic, so be ready for an
interesting time if that is your home clinic.

Please keep a close eye out for the election information being sent to all
members. New faces and perspectives are always needed and usually
appreciated as those new ideas start to show positive results.

            Have a safe month

            Executive Director
