EDUCATIONWe ofered tutoring opportunities for those who live in the neighborhood as well as strengthening our connection to our Hispanic/Latino brothers and sisters through Mighty Mondays, Read and Feed, and MotheRead. Dorcas and Alliance Ministries ofer education classes to help with job training and health and nutrition classes. Bridge the Gap Ministries is also providing computer literacy classes. The children participating in these ministries receive Baskets of Hope at Easter from our congregation.DISCIPLESHIPRELIEFDisciple Bible Study Outreach, Pardoned by Christ, and Kairos Prison ministry all are doing the important work of sharing the love of Christ with those in prison through weekly visits and Bible study and mentoring in the faith.We created over 2,000 health kits and over 100 cleaning buckets for the MERCI Center in Goldsboro, NC. Four groups of workteams helped with clean up eforts in New Bern, and we plan to send more teams in 2019. We raised over $76,000 dollars for NC Hurricane Relief in 2018. We still have work teams committed to helping rebuild communities afected by Hurricane Matthew.
