Mark Golf Day

18th June 2021 - Mark Golf Day at The Isle of Wedmore

Golf Club.

The Mark Golf Day in 2020 had to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions in place
last June. It was back with a bang this year with a very creditable thirty two golfers
meeting at the Isle of Wedmore Golf Club for the 15th Annual Somerset Mark Golf
Day. It was wonderful to get together with Brethren and friends whom we haven't
seen for some time. The weather was kind, cool but the forecast rain didn't arrive.
It was a pleasure also to welcome our Provincial Grand Master, Phil Voisey who
joined us to present the prizes. Well done to all those who won a prize and a spe-
cial thank you to the very hard working organisers Eric Kellett and Richard Stone.
The Results:
Individual stableford completion

First Place and winner of the PGM’s Shield - Brian Pollard with 37 points winning
on count back from Martin Casey.
Second Place - Martin Casey, the with 37 points.

Third Place - Iain Robertson, 36 points.
Fourth place - Alan Welch with 35 points.

Team Comp -
1st with 109 points - Iain Robertson, Brian Pollard, Clive Rogers and Ray Guthrie

2nd with 104 points "Team Stone” Richard Stone, Dan Witcome, Phil McKinley
and Mark Chamberlaine.
3rd with 102 points - David Dixon, Mike Whitaker, Mike Grieg and Martin Casey.

Skill Prizes
Covid restrictions meant that we were unable to have nearest the pin or longest
drive competition.
Two's competition, No one had a two! The prize fund will be carried forward to

next years event.
