Happy Birthday from the Provincial Team

In an effort to stay in touch with all Brethren during the lockdown and the suspension of Lodge
meetings the PGM wanted to find ways of demonstrating that we were thinking of all those
affected.
As your Registrar, I suggested that we could look at sending birthday cards online which I have
been doing for years, especially at Christmas .
The PGM thought this was a good
idea and just said “ do it “. Having
established that we had about 620
members online with email address I
realised that it was going to be quite
a task to get all these registered with
the Jacquie Lawson site I would be
using, making me wonder why I have
suggest this!
I set about adding all the email
address to Jacquie Lawson site and
after completing 150 which covered
birthdays from the 1st July to the end
of September, I now needed to
schedule all those birthdays which
would be sent out on the actual
birthday date.
The PGM selected the card from a
shortlist I sent him, we agreed the
wording and we were ready to go.
The first two cards were
automatically sent on the 1st July, one to Andrew Woods and the other to Derek Marpole, both
who viewed them on that day.

We are now up and running and having received many thank you responses, which can be done
free of charge by the recipient. I am happy that my time spent doing this appears to be much
appreciated by the Brethren.
The PGM is delighted with the outcome which, once again, demonstrates that the Mark Degree
is a friendly Degree that cares about its members.
