               As Written On Cupid's Blindfold By Maisy McWright
Ifyou were the bush ofwild flowers, Why befriend the burning flame?
If you were to write down your desires, Would I be listed as a name?
If in the blades of grass, you hear a calling
and you knew it was me; Would you come running?
If you were the yin, but I was the Big Bang;
If you were the river, but I was the hillside;
If you were the post, but I was a Sunday morning; Would you leave your destiny for ours if I would? You were one step away, but my cliff had ended. Your colors were two notches into Ultraviolet.
If you were a fever, I was the numbing. One degree away, with no known name; the orphic night sky is only just that.
When Cupid doesn't exist, but the arrow is in your back; And the blood is on your hands?
