New Counseling Center
Prior to the 2015-16 school year, if you needed help from someone in the Priory counseling department, first you had to face a challenge: finding them. “We were spread out all over campus,” says Sandy Martignetti. “It was confusing for kids, and confusing for families.” Then an angel appeared in the form of the Kruep family, whose generous donation
brought the Academic Resource Center and
the entire counseling department together under one newly remodeled roof. That bright, cheerful space, located behind the Student Center, now hosts counselors’ offices,
a conference room, a college counseling lounge, and even air conditioning and a brand-new restroom! “The kids love it,” says Ms. Martignetti. “They feel like it’s their place.” They even know where to find it.
