Enhanced CS Curriculum
It seemed only appropriate that we at Priory—“Silicon Valley’s first start-up,” as Mr. Molak likes to say—have a Computer Science department as robust and dynamic as the atmosphere around us, and one
that could meet the needs of our ever- more tech-savvy students. That’s why we’ve added faculty and revamped the curriculum from top to bottom. The new yearlong Introduction to Computer Science opened up hands-on programming to
more students than ever, a full half of them girls, and a college-level class called Data Structures gave advanced students the chance to solve a complex programming problem from start to finish. Together with AP Computer Science, these three courses offer a streamlined sequence for students wanting to go into computer science and engineering. There’s even Independent Study, for those who just can’t get enough.
