Sixth graders finish their first running to finish
fantastic year at Priory.
At the beginning of the sixth grade, new
students faced quite a load of difficulty: a completely unfamiliar environment, unpredictably funny or strict teachers, and various kinds of new curriculum. Yet the most frightening but fascinating part was that they were about to meet new people, who would become their dear classmates and friends for the rest of the year. Despite the enormous and sudden change in their life, sixth graders responded with great energy to the challenges in their new environment. Over the course of this year, they decided who they are and how they will live.
For sixth graders, obstacles and difficulties were definitely part of their life at Priory for the first year. However, those problems did not keep them from participating in school. What is brilliant about Priory is that it has an unbelievably diverse environment and community-based atmosphere. Teachers and
students all get along like friends, and everyone is there to support each other. There were few worries about the adjustment with the help of warm-hearted teachers and enthusiastic students.
Sixth grade was a time to learn but also a totally fun year that these new students enjoyed freely without too much concern with schoolwork. The sixth graders met new teachers, made friends, joined teams, tried out for plays, and participated in break activities while enjoying the new opportunities at Priory for the first time in their lives.
Through this exciting year, these eleven and twelve year old students began to make their best friends and discover who they want to be. They discovered favorite friends to spend time with and uncovered new interests in classes and sports, and they are better prepared as they head into seventh grade next year.
