“Success is not final. Failure is never fatal. It's courage that counts.”-John Wooden
did it again
The Priory's girls' basketball team had a
tough time, but their commitment and resilience kept them going throughout the season. They kept their minds set on winning, even though the scores showed differently. They maintained a focused mentality and gracefully got through the rough games, proving that the real victories came in the friendships they formed and the progress they made.
The girls had rigorous training, both mental and physical, which helped them stride forward. They scored shots that made the team more prepared for future seasons. They improved as the season carried through, which makes for a hopeful future, and at least none of our players were like Cinderella - nobody ever ran away from the ball.
The girls played really hard and gave it their all every game. With the help of their training, they worked on all of the skills they needed to be greater athletes. In their practices and warm-ups they found the ambition they needed to play the game and succeed. The team had something that the rest of the teams they played lacked, Panther Pride.
Although the team has some room for improvement for the next season like all teams do, they were satisfied with the way that they were all brought together by the love for the sport. They connected with the way that the complex game of basketball brought out the friendship and trust in the players. The team showed lots of promise and potential, and demonstrated an unparalleled eagerness to reign victorious.
