On Eagle’s Wings

Verse 1:
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in his shadow for life,
Say to the Lord: “My refuge, my rock in whom I trust.”
And he will raise you up on eagle’s wings, Bear you on the breath of dawn, Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of his hand.
Refrain:
The snare of the fowler will never capture you, Nor famine will bring you no fear, Under his wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.



For well over a half century Father Pius has been a solid pillar of strength for the Benedictine presence in California. In his early years he was challenged by the events of World War II in his beloved Hungary where he had to overcome the effects of both Nazi and Communist influence and oppression. His desire, from an early age, was to become a Benedictine monk and a teacher and this inspired his determination to overcome adversity. After ordination to the priesthood at the Archabbey of
