Friday Night Lights

The football team kicked off the year with the Priory's first-ever homecoming game with a 44-22 win over North Valley Baptist. The game began with the national anthem sung by the Chamber Singers. In additiontothefootballgame,therewasabarbecueand variouscarnivalgamesforstudentstoplay.Thiswasthe opening to panthers new spirit section titled “The Blue Legion.”BlueLegionshirtswerehandedoutandproudly wornbyteachersandstudents,amplifyingschoolspirit. Thefootballteamholdsthelongestwinningstreakinthe state, with 19 straight wins as of October 6, 2014.
Following the football game was the Sadie Hawkins homecoming dance. The dances theme was simply to dress in pairs, with costumes such as Calvin and Hobbes, a king and queen, Barbie and Ken, and the infamous Kim andKanye.TherewasalsoanInstagramsetupbytheASB topostphotosforwhichstudentshadthe“bestask”. Some aspects about the dance that were enjoyed were thingssuchasfood,music,andthephotoboth.Samantha McCabe(10)say“Ienjoyedthephotobothbecauseit broughtoutthephotogenicsideofme”.
What was your first impression of Priory?
