To Siler
with love
As with all great thinkers, and brilliant men, Mr.Siler is filled with quick wit, as well as diverse and unique interests. He is a fan of latin heart throb Enrique Inglesias, and well, yes Mr. Siler you “Can be our hero baby.” A champion of the concept of “Restorative Justice” he can lead a SLAC meeting, save a kid from suspension because we all make mistakes, and then preach the attributes of Machiavelli. Conflicted? Definitely. We feel connected to Siler because he shares freely about his own life and experiences. We know of his gluten free diet, saw him propose to Ms. Downy during the faculty talent show, and heard his stories of therapy that would impress Woody Allen. His gelled hair is inspired by Xisus, and his rescued mutt Beggar Vance is his best friend. A champion of the underdog, his proudest moment at Priory was as the 6th grade flag football coach, when he finally earned his first win, after 3 seasons of constant losses. We are all the better for knowing Mr. Siler who is the best of men.
It is with deep gratitude and love, that the class of 2015 unanimously chose to dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Siler. Adam Siler is a man who should never be interrupted. An exceptional mentor, he has dedicated his career to challenging students to develop a conscience, and summons us all to become better human beings. Passionate and about his profession, he is a caring and brilliant teacher. Mr. Siler, we are all better people because you where our teacher.
