A Parent Association reception to say good-bye to Dr. Martin Mayer was followed by the visual arts department’s third annual exhibit on Church Square and spring concert by the Priory choirs and orchestras. It was an especially fitting combination of events because Dr. Mayer launched the current music program and was instrumental in attaining the recent expansion of the visual arts facilities. The student work on display couldn’t have been done in the former art building.
Dr. Mayer is leaving to become a school psychologist in Alabama.
Snow! An unexpected and rare snowstorm on the hills above the campus made this snowman on Red Square possible. Ross Anderson, Class of ‘01, delivered the white stuff.
A skydiving jump with Headmaster Tim Molak was one of many “firsts” at this year’s auction on March 24. “Venetian Fantasies” raised more than $200,000.
Jazz pianist Taylor Eigsti, Class of 2002, was a feature subject for ABC News in June. Taylor’s second CD is now available at Tower; get updates on his music and performances at www.tayjazz.com—a great site!
