TIM Tutorial – Installation Procedure
This Tutorial covers all aspects of a successful TIM installation. Additional Tutorials are referenced to provide detail. Since there are many situational factors, this should be viewed as a general reference.
This procedure covers the following:
A. Prep work - Offsite
B. Prep work - Install Location & Distributor
C. Hardware Install (Parts Room & Paint Room) D. Staff Setup
E. Inventory Setup & Final Chrome Configuration F. Training
G. Follow Up & Remote Monitoring
Important to note:
• The key to a successful install is in the prep work
• A typical install is a solid 1 1⁄2 day commitment with a team of three SGA employees
• It is imperative that a distributor representative have an active role in the installation
• To comply with antitrust regulations, SGA employees cannot see or handle
competitive pricing
• With shop’s permission, take before and after photos of the areas you are working in
• Have a follow up plan (involve agency rep & jobber rep when appropriate)
A. Prep Work - Offsite
1. Once a commitment has been made and a date set, add the shop in TIM
a. Once logged into “rsg.tools”, open Menu Bar à”+ New Shop”
Fill out form as completely as possible, select “Create Shop”
b. Once shop is created, select shop from dropdown menu (top left)
