Mel,
It was 1986 when a friend of a friend gave my resume to someone named

Melanie Quinlan at GSK. Over thirty-years later, here we are. Although it is
the end of the SK&F, SB and GSK journey for you, we have memories that
will last forever. In those early years when we churned out hematology,

coagulation, and UA data for large GLP studies, you always found ways to
keep it light, fun, and calm. As time went by and we had to adjust to different
types of change, like no longer being roomies in the “breakroom” lab, you

would always keep a positive attitude and “go with the flow,” or speak-up
when you had a good idea about how things could be done better, of which
there are too many to count. When it comes to celebrations, your superb
talent as event coordinator is the sole reason Clinpath threw the best showers,

parties, meetings, etc. Not many people are lucky enough to work alongside
someone for this long and I hope you know how much I appreciated your
friendship and life advice on all things fashion, hair, parenting, investing (e.g.,

“did you start your 401K yet?”), etc. I will miss you lots and lots……but I
               hope to see you often.

Love and hugs, Karen (aka GOOB)
