Dear Mel,
It is not going to be the same here without you. Your welcoming smile and fun personality will be sorely
missed. But in addition to missing you personally, your scientific expertise and broad experience in
clinical pathology will leave a hole. I remember being at a meeting when one of our PTMs was
discussing the platelet work that you had helped with and he referred to you as “our platelet
aggregation expert”. So many other good memories, the beach, Peddler’s Village, etc. But I know that
you will miss us too, while you are relaxing on the beach near your lovely beach house. (I don’t sound
too jealous huh LOL). Anyway, have a wonderful retirement, I’ll miss you.
