While there is a conserved function of the Hsp60/10 systems to remove enthalpic traps from folding
landscape, they have evolved to have specialized functions likely due to the different requirements of
their substrates. GroEL/ES, namely, has the ability to remove the entropic trap from the folding
landscape due to its negatively charged cavity, an ability that hHsp60/10 lacks.
