Differences between an M and an N






         Category M and N motor vehicles both have at



         least 4 wheels.  The subcategories:






                M1 – vehicles are designed and constructed for


                    the carriage of passengers and have no more than


                    eight seats in addition to the driver’s seat.



                N1 vehicles are designed and constructed for the



                    carriage of goods and having a maximum mass not


                    exceeding 3.5 tonnes.
