What is the meaning of ISO 14001 & 9001?
ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an
effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework
that an organization can follow, rather than establishing environmental
performance requirements.
ISO 9001 was first published in 1987 by the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO), an international agency composed of the national
standards bodies of more than 160 countries. The ISO 9000 family of quality
management systems is a set of standards that helps organizations ensure they
meet customers and other stakeholder needs within statutory and regulatory
requirements related to a product or service.
