There are now only two people in the stadium: Figlioli the
Italian goalkeeper and Zelé the Brazilian striker.
The whole stadium lies silent as Zelé composes himself
and takes a deep breath. The referee blows his whistle.
The run up is quick and sharp and the goal sweetly
deserved.
“GGGGOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!”
The whole of Brazil raise in chorus.
Agora parece haver somente duas pessoas em campo:
Figlioli, o goleiro italiano e Zelé, o atacante brasileiro.
O estádio inteiro está em silêncio enquanto Zelé se
recompõe e respira fundo. O juiz apita. A corridinha é
rápida e o gol bem merecido.
“GGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!”
Todo o Brasil grita em coro.
