MILL HOUSE
WELCOME TO
MILL HOUSE
Situated next to the Sir Gareth Edwards pitch and
the dining hall, Mill House is a large, purpose-built
day house made up of a highly talented group of
Year 10 to Upper Sixth boys.
The house has nurtured an excellent range of
academics, international athletes, and wonderful
performers in the arts, music, and drama. Millfield
has a world of opportunities available to students,
and it is a vital part of settling in that boys involve
themselves in all the school has to offer.
I started at Millfield in January 2020 as a
mathematics teacher and became the Assistant
Housemaster of St Annes in September of that
year. I have coached rugby, football and cricket in
Years 10 and 11, and have recently started a surf
club as well as yoga classes for staff and students,
providing sessions to senior rugby players as part
of their post-match recovery. I have also worked
as a Head of Maths, both in the UK and abroad,
as well as a Deputy Head of an alternate provision
academy, providing education for students
excluded from mainstream education. Having
grown up in South Africa, I love the outdoors,
surfing, and braais. I am engaged to Georgina, and
father to Ruby, Dusty, and Sunny.
Mill House provides a place to work, socialise
and relax, and a community within the school to
support each student’s development. The house
tutors look to guide each student to make the
most of their time at the school.
