Millfield and Millfield Prep have an excellent reputation at developing English
speaking in our international students, with two specialist departments.
All prospective students go through an Admissions process. This includes a
cognitive ability test, interview and references from the student’s current school.
If a student’s first language is not English, then we may seek further information,
in the form of a questionnaire and an English Language Test. The test is required to
help us to ensure that the student’s level of reading, understanding and writing in
English will enable them to access the curriculum. This is important as we wish for
all students to be able to succeed and enjoy their learning experience at Millfield
and Millfield Prep.
Following the receipt of your acceptance of an offer, the student’s details are then
passed on to the English as an Additional Language (EAL) Department for the
beginning of the new school year.
