WHAT TO DO ON
A WEEKEND
PAINTBALLING DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD
Students very much enjoy heading out into the local Weekends are used to complete the expedition practice
woodland, getting dressed in the camouflage gear and phase of the Bronze DofE Award. This involves camping,
working in teams to defeat their opponents. navigating with your group and developing your skills.
HIGH ROPES
We head to Go Ape and participate in the ‘Treetop
Challenge’. A mecca for thrill seekers who love canopy high
tree-to-tree crossings, free-fall Tarzan Swings and riding
super-fast, very long zips.
RELAXING
With everything else that we do, it is always good to have
a relaxing weekend. The girls can enjoy a lazy morning in
house, brunch and enjoy the house garden. In the spring
term, girls are permitted to go into Street and can enjoy
some time out relaxing with friends.
CAVING
We head off to the local caves at ‘Goatchurch Cavern
in Cheddar’. The girls are kitted up in a special caving
oversuit and equipped with a helmet, light, and caver's belt.
Wellington boots complete the outfit! The cave entrance
leads into a complex maze of dry passages providing many
possible routes. There are some spacious chambers and
attractive stalactite formations. For the adventurous there
are some tight squeezes too!
