KEEN'S ELM
WHAT TO DO ON
A WEEKEND
PAINTBALLING
This is an excellent way to have fun
on the weekend with your friends.
You will be challenged with a range of
different games and must be prepared
to storm strongholds and battle for
victory.
CAVING
Explore the amazing limestone
caves in the Mendip Hills. There are
stalactite and stalagmite formations
and sleeping bats can often be seen
hanging from the roof. There are
always easier passages and tighter
tunnels for the most adventurous.
HIGH ROPES
Are you brave enough to leap from
platform to platform, 65ft above the
ground? Challenge yourself to scale
trees, balance along beams and zipwire
through the forest canopy all in a safe
environment.
RELAXING
There will be time to unwind with
your friends in house and make use
of Millfield’s amazing facilities. For
example, you can enjoy playing tennis,
football and golf or watch a film with
friends in the common room.
DUKE OF EDINBURGH
AWARD
Weekends are used to complete the
expedition practice phase of the
Bronze DofE Award. This involves
camping and navigating with your
group and developing your skills.
