Page 25 - The Year at Millfield Prep 2021-2022

Year 3 made a flying start to their time at
Millfield Prep and really hit the ground running
with their first Saturday fixtures.

Since then, they have grown in confidence
and taken everything in their stride. As part of
our ‘Temples, Tombs and Treasures’ unit, the
children learnt all about the Ancient Egyptians 04
which culminated in a trip to The Tutankhamun
Exhibition, where they got to see exact replicas
from the famous tomb. The run up to Christmas
was full of excitement as they performed in the
Junior Production and sang at Wells Cathedral.
After Christmas, the children became fully
engrossed in the ‘Vanishing Rainforest’ of the
world, where they discovered how they are under
threat and the reasons why. We also learnt about
the amazing creatures that live there.

We have ended the year with lots of memorable
events including the Jubilee celebrations, a trip to
the theatre, sports day and the summer concert.
It has been a pleasure to see the children embrace
everything they have done with a smile on their
face.
