with a kid locked in a room,” she spits.
She starts to pound on the door.
“Stop that. You’re going to hurt
yourself.”
"Then you'll have to come in here,
and I'll get to scratch your eyes out with
my good hand. Psycho."
I place a hand on the door, taking
deep breaths to stop myself from losing
it. She is a teenager, I remind myself.
